USE WHAT YOU HAVE, TO GET WHAT YOU DONT!

In today’s world dominated by connectivity, platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube have turned regular people into global brands. They have become the supreme equalizers for personal and financial growth. Every day, millions of users go viral doing dances, joining trends, or just yapping and sharing their crazy opinions. But here’s the thing–if other people can attract attention, build communities, and even earn income by doing what they already do, what’s stopping you from using the same tools with intention and purpose? The very apps that people use for mindless entertainment can be flipped into engines of opportunity. The distinction between a consumer and a creator is not the device in their hand, but the intent behind their scrolling. You flip the script by leveraging the very mediums designed for entertainment, whether it’s to display your intellectual property or sell products you believe in. No longer do you remain the product being sold to advertisers and begin being the entrepreneur getting paid for your perspective.
Social media has become a marketplace for ideas, artistry, and entrepreneurship. You could be marketing something you bought, promoting your intellectual property, or simply building a personal brand that aligns with your passions. While many people use these platforms to gossip or scroll through meaningless content, you can use them to connect, teach, sell, and inspire. The truth of the matter is tough to swallow; every minute spent online either pushes you closer to or further away from your goals. So ask yourself: How much of your ten-hour screen time is actually moving you closer to your ambitions? HOW MUCH OF YOUR SCREEN-TIME IS ACTUALLY MAKING YOU MONEY?
A common piece of advice is to lower screen time to improve focus, but the real solution lies in shifting the quality of that time. What if the goal isn’t to reduce it, but to redirect it? Rather than obsessing over the number of minutes spent on your phone, focus on using the device solely to assist in making money or elevating yourself and your mentality. You’ll naturally shave away all the empty noise, leaving only the work that matters. You might find that your hours online don’t shrink, but the results you produce grow dramatically. Stewardship of what you already have–your phone, your skills, your knowledge, your access—can significantly multiply your productivity and income alike.
This concept of "using what you have" is a timeless principle of transformation. Just as the Prophet Elisha had taught the widow with the Oil. In the book of 2nd Kings its written, “ ‘But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.’ ‘What can I do to help you?’ Elisha asked. ‘ Tell me, what do you have in the house?’ ‘Nothing at all, except a flask of olive oil,’ she replied….When she told the man of God what had happened, he said to her, ‘Now sell the olive oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on what is left over.’ “ 2nd Kings 4:1-2&7. When Elisha asked her, “What do you have in the house?” she answered with what seemed to her like almost nothing–just a small jar of oil. But that small thing, when used with faith and direction, became the key to her breakthrough. Your “jar of oil” might be your creativity, your knowledge, your social media access—and if you start using it intentionally, it might just pour out into abundance.
You don’t need a massive studio or a complex business plan to begin; you only need the courage to use the tools already in your pocket to bridge the gap between your current situation and your ideal life. Significant change doesn't come from waiting for new opportunities; it comes from maximizing the ones already sitting in your palm.
If these fools can do it, why can’t you?
